Birth Planning

A birth plan is a short document to take with you to Labor and Delivery that lets the providers there know what your preferences are during labor.  It is important to keep your birth plan simple and easy to understand. Providing a copy to all those involved in your labor can eliminate miscommunication, help labor go smoother, and keep your wishes from being dismissed. You can discuss this with your doula.

Breastfeeding Education

Research shows that breastfeeding provides many health benefits for you and your baby. But it also can be difficult to manage to breastfeed in today’s hurried world. Learning all you can before you give birth can help. The decision to breastfeed is a personal one. As a new mom, you deserve support no matter how you decide to feed your baby. You can discuss this with your doula or CLC (Certified Lactation Counselor).
